I build .NET backends with the discipline of seven years in C++.

I'm Ahmed Eldegla, a backend developer building RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core, EF Core and SQL Server, structured with Clean Architecture and CQRS. Before .NET I spent seven years as a freelance C++ engineer in real-time networking, where slow or unstable code shows up right away.

About

From inspecting live game traffic packet by packet to designing clean REST APIs, what I care about is the same: code that stays fast, predictable, and easy to debug.

What I bring from C++

Seven years of freelance C++ in real-time networking and game systems: multithreading, profiling, and tracking down crashes and memory issues with debuggers. It taught me to read unfamiliar code quickly and to care about latency and stability.

What I build now

RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core, EF Core and SQL Server, structured with Clean Architecture and CQRS (MediatR), secured with JWT and ASP.NET Core Identity, and documented with Swagger.

    .NET Full Stack Track

    Digital Egypt Pioneers Initiative (DEPI) · Ministry of Communications and IT, Mansoura

    • Intensive training in C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, SQL Server and software architecture.
    • Graduation project: the DEPI Smart Freelance Platform backend, as the team's top contributor and repository owner.
  2. 2024 – 2025

    C++ Networking Developer

    Freelance

    • Built high-performance C++ packet inspection and filtering tools for online multiplayer games, processing live network traffic under strict real-time constraints.
    • Profiled, debugged and optimized multithreaded networking code with a focus on stability and low latency.

    C++ Game Systems Developer

    Freelance

    • Developed C++ extensions for real-time game clients, using static and dynamic binary analysis to understand undocumented systems.
    • Diagnosed complex crashes and memory issues with runtime debuggers and memory analysis tools.

DEPI Smart Freelance Platform

The backend of a freelance marketplace: projects, proposals, milestone contracts, escrow wallets, messaging, reviews, guilds and communities. I was the team's top contributor and repository owner.

  • Structured the solution in 4 layers (Domain, Application, Infrastructure, API) with Clean Architecture and CQRS via MediatR.
  • Implemented authentication and authorization with ASP.NET Core Identity and JWT, including role/permission management and user sessions.
  • Designed the SQL Server data model with EF Core, fixed shadow foreign-key mapping issues, and delivered SQL scripts and backups for the data analysis team.
  • Added global exception-handling middleware, MediatR logging behaviors, request validation, rate limiting, health checks, and GitHub Actions workflows.
